Hi everyone, and welcome! I’m Suraj Sakaria, and I’m incredibly excited (and a little nervous) to officially launch Early Edge here on Substack.

Let me tell you a little bit about why I’m doing this, why now — and what you can expect if you join me on this journey.

My Story

I’ve been investing for over 10 years now.

Along the way, I also earned my CFA charter, which taught me frameworks — but my real education came from being endlessly curious about businesses, studying winners and failures, and constantly learning from the market and other veteran investors.

At my core, I’m a passionate, full-time investor — someone who genuinely loves digging deep into companies, spotting patterns early, and trying to understand what separates enduring businesses from the rest.

Over time, I realized there was one space that fascinated me most: Indian microcaps.

They are the hidden, emerging businesses — the ones quietly compounding under the radar, often run by gritty entrepreneurs building for the long term.

Early Edge Club is my attempt to explore this space seriously, systematically, and thoughtfully — and I want to build a community for fellow like minded investors who are focussing in this space.
